The Government of Uganda recognizes the fact that Early Childhood Care Education (ECCE) is a foundation for quality education. ECCE concentrates on children aged 0 to 8 years of age who need to be nurtured in a safe and caring environment that allows them to become healthy, secure, confident and empowered persons with life-long learning capabilities.

IREAD ECDL in collaboration with government has been putting numerous efforts to introduce ICT for ECD, engage in legal frameworks design and development. The ultimate goal is to ensure equitable access to quality education services for all Ugandans at the various levels of Uganda’s education cycle.

Creating presentations together than enhance collaboration and peer support. Developing and following their own learning strategy can help individuals overcome the particular challenges they face.

Material and subjects presented through multimedia and interactive ICT have also proven to keep students engaged and focused for longer. ICT can also provide extensive opportunities for the teacher/learner relationship to be reversed.

Students can become teachers through peer tutoring and reciprocal mentoring, increasing self-esteem, and motivation and student engagement.

Establish and direct a vibrant and engaging learning methodologies and practices with locally available learning materials. There are many ways in which ICT can enrich and support learning and development in Early Childhood Development. These include:;

  • Literacy and language development in Early Childhood.

  • Supporting numeracy development.

  • Supporting play.

  • Supporting special learning needs.
